    Default 10 year old Son lands a 35 pound halibut...from a kayak!

So I've heard people ask if we kayakers are crazy. lol. I'd never risk my sons well being if I didn't think it was safe! Lately the fish have gotten smaller. But my son lands the best halibut of day! Perseverance pays off.

You can see how stable the kayak is in the video. He did great. I have a feeling this is the first of a LONG string of fish I will be seeing him land off this platform!

That's fantastic, my son caught his first couple rainbows off my board this year and man is he hooked. He's only 4 though so probably not quite ready for the salt! How was the surf? Did he have any issues launching or landing?

It was flat calm so we got lucky. He had gone out before so he wanted to land himself because in previous times I stopped the kayak in waste deep water. He did great! I'm always amazed how kids pick up things so quickly.

That's awesome you got your 4 yr old on some fish! Great job!!!
