    Couple of those and you would be good for the year.
    I have some squid hooks and a light I need to set up, I still have yet to try to catch some squid,but it is on the list.

    Those things are huge. Looks like that fellow knew how to clean them up pretty good too.

    Have they not invented rods, reels, or gaffs over there yet?

    Seems like they really did not need a rod/reel or gaff. Needless expense in there case.

    Well I didn't say they needed it but it sure would make things easier. You don't need a puller to haul pots either ya know. .

    I have seen videos of guys making those squid jigs. Iv'e thought about making and trying them myself but the molds would need to be custom and the hook parts may be hard to source.
    I do like to eat squid and would like to catch a few someday.
    Are the squid jigs available in Alaska?

    BJ Sporting goods in Anchorage had a few, I bought one of the smaller ones. I have yet to try it out, maybe this fall I will give it a try.
