    Default Question about surface drives ???

    if you have a surface drive on a standard canoe can it take a sharp fast turn to the right an also to the left under full speed ,
    { not at the same time } , I don't mean one of the wide transom canoe that are coming on line to day ,
    I mean like a Grumman 19 SQ end looking to change over but not sure SID

    The longer leg of the prop and handle make for a bit slower turns as compared to a regular prop motor. However you stand so that allows you to make up for the larger movement needed for steering somewhat.

    Here's an 18-foot freighter canoe with a 12hp surface drive motor demonstrating sharp turns;
