    Default Getting re-started with trout

Well it's been a little too long since I have seriously tried to catch a trout. I moved up from Montana ten years ago and have so far only halfheartedly pursued Alaskan trout. I must say They are different than Montana trout! But I have given it a bit of a go this spring. So far it looks like this...

Looks like you're after them pretty good, Burke! I've been limbering up the fly rods a bit lately myself. Life is good!

Thanks, Jim and Jedi. My uncle is the inspiration to get back into the swing. He is 70something years old and a fly fishing nutbar. I spent quite a bit of time fishing with him in Vermont and he visited me in Montana to fish those blue ribbon streams (we ended up buying a drift boat together there) and he is coming up at the end of the month to test the Alaska trout...he may want to bring his little 1wt or 2 wt rod, but I think I will suggest he use that for grayling and try another weight rod for trout. I am excited to be able to spend more time with him! And catch a trout or two in the meantime....
