    Default Wader Care....

Was wondering if anybody knows of some kind of oil or lube that would be good to apply to hip waders? After using my LaCross ankle fit waders yesterday in the salt, and even though I always rinse everything well with fresh water, this morning I noticed they seem to be getting pretty dry. These waders aren't very old and I'd hate for them to start cracking already. As you know these things weren't very cheap...!!!

I've used Armor All, seems to help keep them from cracking.

Thanks..... I thought about Armor All, but over the years I've heard mixed reports about it's use. I guess I was basically wondering if there was an actual wader care product?

Yes, there is an actual, official wader care product...http://www.lacrossefootwear.com/rubb...ing-spray.html

What mixed reports ( good/bad ) have you heard from using Armor All?

You can use 303 cleaner. It's often used on rafts and dry suit latex gaskets.

    Great....thanks.

A long time ago I was told that once you use Amor All, there is "something" in it that if not used regularly tends to dry the item up even more than had you not used it at all. I certainly can't verify that though....
