    Default River Speed

I was just wondering what speed you guys see going down the Big Su and up the Yentna. The two boats I run do about the same speeds. I run anywhere from 28-32 mph down river and around 24-27 up river depending on load. These are my crusing speeds. I'm running outboard jets and I was wondering if you sport jet guys cruise at a higher speed.

Last week I ran my 200 SJ on a 20' Wooldridge down the Su and Up to Big Bend at 4000 with 800# in the boat and saw 28-30 going to the Lodge.

On the way back I ran 4300 and was going 34 on the gps.

I ran 68 miles on 18 gallons of fuel.

Wow those are some fast boats.😎

I'm surprised that the speeds between the sport jets and outboards are so close. It kinda seems that everyone's in the mid to high 20's up river and low to mid 30's going down. I only mention sport jets because most of those boats are a similar size to mine. I'm kinda thinking of selling one and buying a sport jet and I wanted to know the difference in speed.
