    Default shipping a recurve

    Hey guys:

I have an old Savora 64" recurve I am going to send as a gift to a person in Maine and I need your help. What is the best way to package it? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    BEE

I think both FedEx and UPS will pack them for you. Other than that, I'd think that sandwiching the bow between 3/9" plywood pieces would do a good job of protecting the bow . . .

The center tube from a roll of carpet will work.

Or a piece of PVC pipe. A bit heavy, but better protection.

I thought of checking into that or something a little lighter- thanks...definitely would be stronger protection.
