If you're with Andy I wouldn't worry about anything.

Fish On? Not a Crackerjack or Profish-n-sea boat, unless it is a new boat for Andy or Steve.

Guess it's not the name of the boat. Miscommunication. Don't know the name.

Andy on Crackerjack Voyager, Nik on Crackerjack or Steve with Pro-fish-n-sea are all top notch and put you on the fish. My trips out have all landed nice fish so looks to be a good year for the halibut.

Sounds like we are going with Andy......hoping to get some yellow eyes, black rocks and maybe even a king? As well as our limits on halibut.

Hunt&FishAk - Did you get to go out today with Andy? It looked pretty gnarly from the forecast outside with small craft advisory with seas to 14 ft. I've put off my trips today and tomorrow out of Seward so hope you are able to get to some good fishing while your cousin is up here, the weather sure hasn't been cooperating the last few days and looks to be a lousy weekend as well though the 25 kts N wind in the bay isn't happening now, it's dead calm, so hope the rest of the forecast is wrong as well.

Thanks for the update! We go out Saturday AM. Not sure who we are gonna go with but for $380 each it better be a good trip haha! Hopin for the best! Any word on the reds in the river? Is it to early to find chums in the east side creeks?

You're going with the best outfit in SC AK! Andy and his crew will put you on the fish, and you'll have the time of your life. Wish I was going.....!

Crackerjack Charters is usually booked well in advance. Nice that you're able to jump on-board. Good luck! Post some pics!

Is 380$ each the going rate for a good charter boat/captain and one day fishing?

    Default Crackerjack?

I just heard a commercial for $225 a day out of Seward. And 95$ for the "friend" you bring along. Special thru 21st of June. The name of the outfit was "something" Northern Outfitters. I forgot the name before I parked. Sorry

Alaska Northern Outfitters. The way the website reads the $95 is a shared pole companion fee not available with any other special? No idea how that all works, found it on their website.

CrackerJack or Pro Fish-N-Sea are the only two I will go out with in Seward or I don't go. Is there other good boats? Sure, Is there other great captains? Sure.

You are hooked up with in my opinion one of the best in Seward that will have top notch gear and treat you right plus know how to get the fish.

You get what you pay for and I don't even know the going rate because I don't care. I have been with too many dip sticks out of Seward and Deep Creek over the years I don't call anyone else anymore and book a year out if I can. I know if the seas cooperate and they get out it's fish on.

    Enjoy the trip!!

Most of the time, this is the case, but remember, some of the fleet just don't have the operating costs that the others do.
