Default WARD GAY "Hunting & Fishing in the TERRITORY of ALASKA"

I should think this book is still in print, as it was first printing 2004. It is a good read, even for a non-pilot it is a good read. Those men had some "Hard'Bark" on them...........

Well, I finished the RE-read yesterday. And I had forgot how many of the people he interacted with, that I know or have met.

Some of you older Alaskan Aviators and Hunting Guides will know a lot of the people in the book. However it really is more about hunting, fishing and guiding in the 30's 40's & 50's than about aviation.

I was the Winter caretaker at Valhalla Lodge for Kirk, Wards son, for 10 years until 5 years ago when I retired.

We likely know a lot of the same locals there. I lived on Keyes Point in the mid 80's
