Default Found/snagged, 2 Ladner shrimp pots in Cochrane bay

Snagged 2 Ladner pots yesterday, looks like they were lost last year. Still in great shape. If you lost some PM me or call me at 632-8132 and describe the bait setup, line and area so I know they are yours. Hope to find the owner. Thanks. Kelly

What a stand up guy. Many others would have 2 Spares in the shed now

Steve has save my pots before...Heck! That's how I found out about him!
Unless our string floated from Blackstone to Cochrane...mine will always have a long and well-done splice between the float/sinking line. Did you find the float, too?

Ha! No, no float snagged the sinker line! No long splice between them. Yeah, it's $300 bucks someone is out. I would hate for it to be mine. If anybody knows would like to get them returned. Thanks guys! (Oh, and it was found with one of Potbuilders pots)!

Lost mine way south of there. Good job trying to find the original owner! Always a heartbreaker to lose pots

Ha! Those could be my pots lost two years ago. I lost them across the bay from three finger cove kind of in the vicinity of the point on attached photo . I think I had 5lb weights clipped to them with longline clips.

Here is my post when I got home from the trip:

I went by potbuilder's and picked up a new setup since then. If they are mine, you are welcome to keep them. Good on you for posting here. Restores my faith in humanity!

Years ago when crabbing opened back up in Homer(2008) I wrapped some of those copper trap tags around the bars of my pot for this type of situation. I did loose some pots the next year but unfortunately I still do not know what happened to them.
Might be a good idea to mark the pots themselves somehow just for this reason. If there was a name and phone number or address attached the owner would certainly already have his lost gear back.
akdaniels thanks for trying to do the right thing.

Hey Fatback! Thanks for the reply. These didn't have any weights clipped on them, but dang! Wish they were yours!
