Statement as of 2:30 PM AKDT on May 13, 2015
... Red flag warning now in effect until 10 PM akdt Thursday for
strong wind for the Copper River basin...
* 20 ft winds... south to southeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35
mph. Strongest winds along the Copper River.
* Relative humidity... 20 to 28 percent.
* Temperatures... 65 to 70.
* Timing... strong winds will begin to subside early this evening
and winds will subside and humidities recover by late evening. A
near repeat of conditions is expected for Thursday with winds
slightly stronger along the Copper River valley.
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are imminent or occurring now... or will shortly. It is directed
toward fire agencies... and through them to the public.

Yikes. I was kinda afraid this could be a bad fire year with the lack of snowfall and run off.
