    Default Stolen firearm in Kodiak

Someone last evening broke in to my cousin's truck after his Kodiak brown bear hunt and stole his hunting rifle. Happened in town. The rifle is a Winchester Model 70 classic stainless 300 Win. Mag (New Haven model). Standard black synthetic stock. The rifle has a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 matte scope on top. Butler Creek caps on the scope. Talley lightweight rings. If anyone that lives down there and reads this post, please keep your eyes out. It has been reported to the police.

All I can say is that I really hope they catch the crook! I lost a marlin 1894 44mag to a thief clear back in the early 80's and it still burns deep when I think about it.

Yeah. Same here for the Colt Woodsman 4" Match Target I lost to a thief in Kodiak back in 1976.

Troopers still have it listed in their stolen property log, and I hope it will show up someday. And that the interim "owner(s)" have taken good care of it for me.
