    Default King from a kayak

Had good luck today trolling off whiskey gulch. Got my first king from my hybrid kayak/stand up paddleboard. Thanks to Kardinal 84 for answering all my rookie questions. Picture quality might not be great but you get the idea.

SUH-WEEEET!!!!! Great job!!! I've fished Alaska since 1971, but I can vividly recall my first king strike off a kayak. I can remember just staring at the rod in disbelief while drag just peeled off for what felt like a minute though I'm sure it was only seconds. I couldn't believe it!!!!!

Now how cool is that???? A king salmon a month before the average angler even thinks about getting their gear ready. I know. I used to HATE May. No ice fishing. No salmon. Lol.

Great job! Let's see one off your SUP. THAT would be awesome!!!!!
