Reported harvest........5k lbs by 12 vessels. Maybe, just maybe all the shrimp weren't reported?!
    Seems awful low to me.

This year is area 3, not many shrimp down that way... Except the secret spot that will get closed if it gets fished hard.

    JR2,

But our BOF has now allowed the commercial guys to harvest 50% of the GHL from one statistical area rather than 25%. So one Statistical area can get hammered now. So it will take F&G longer to close an area that is hit too hard.

That is not good in any way, some areas will suffer next year when they are back in zone 1

They should make the rec fleet report at least monthly so area's hit hard by them can be closed also.

Area 3 is a hard area to shrimp. The glacier ice from icey bay wiped out a bunch of gear. There are shrimp in the area's but you have to work to catch them. My last trip out was 5 days and I ended up with 264 pounds of tails. Down side was I ground my boat on a rock and ripped of the thru hull transducer.
