    Default Long Lake (glenn highway)

Anyone drive past long lake lately? Always like to take the kids there and would like to know if the ice is starting to go yet. Thanks

Long Lake on the Glenn is still covered in ice.

    Default Long Lake (glenn highway)

Probably talking about long in Kepler Bradley being clear a week.

No way is long lake up the Glenn open yet.

Made it as far as Bonnie and ravine yesterday and they are both locked in ice still, not even rotten just barely starting to lose their whiteness.

Yeah I read what 'he' said. Packed my kid and dragged the boat all the way out there from Palmer, through the road construction, to find the lake locked up. Disappointing to say the least. Don't believe everything you read on the Internet. It's easy to confuse one Long Lake from another. There's only 5 or 6 Long Lakes in south central.

Sorry for your wasted trip. I imagine the kid wasn't thrilled, either.

The edges are open around part of the lake, the ice in the first small bay by the boat launch has more open water but its still not that much. As of last Thursday.

Sorry, didn't realize which one you were talking about I was referring to the one in the Kepler system.

my wife said it made lots of progress yesterday and it was near seventy today, might still be a little ice out there but if you don't mind a few ice rafts on the lake, I am sure its fishable

Bump, any one drive by long lake on the Glenn Hwy (Mile Post 86) lately? How's it looking for ice?
