    Default Cod and halibut Bycatch!

Well! we fixed all the issues with my boat Fishy Fishy, seems when you let your boat sit in the harbor for 7 weeks little galvanic corrosion gremlins run wild! We idled out of the harbor and hooked up with a couple of Pcod, halibut and a little king. Once we ventured out a little further we ran into to a little bigger king. Life is good!

Welcome back on the water! Nice "break-in" for the boat, too.

Got something interesting (weird?) going on the last little while. We're getting decent halibut (20-30#) trolling in less than 20' of water. Too scattered to target, but a nice bonus with the kings lurking up there.

Ya we were pretty much dragging bottom, 60ft down in 60-90ft of water.

We tried it out in that same range and got swarmed by cod, so back into the shallows we went. Could it be the kings and halibut are sick of all the cod company?

There are a few boats out. I don't recall the price, but I heard it is down quite a bit.
