10 shots each from Positions: prone, kneeling, standing at 100 yards

Although this year there will be a problem with prone due to a berm that is about 12 inches high. So it might be sitting or maybe from the bench.

Any military ( in issue format ) bolt action rifle. There have been a couple with some mods that everyone agreed to let shoot anyway. No target sights. And for some bizarre reason we do not allow use of the sling in the standing position.

The web site is listed above. I am debating if I should shoot for score this year or just run the line. I have been lucky more than a few times over the past few years and some people are a wee bit pissy about my winning streak. I would gladly just run the line if more shooters would agree to come.

We use the 100 yard military black bullseye targets. See photo. We just ordered them SO... I hope they are here on time. The original vendor wanted a huge fee for shipping.

We are still a small club and only have a 100 yard range , plus a trap and skeet range.

So all slow fire? Single load? Any time limit? Any sighters?

K31 straight pull ok? I see one in the photo.

you might try brownells for targets and get a better rate.
I have ordered from the mfr in Denver I think, you do need a bunch to break even on the shipping.
The SR1 RC can help out some, as they are repair centers for the big tagets, you get a littl more mileage from the SR1 full face, and saves ome on shipping.

NRA/CMP rules do not allow sling for High Power in off hand stage. Perhaps that is where that rule comes from. No matter as folks shoot pretty good scores without the sling off hand.

Thanks you sponsoring and running this match!

A Swiss K-31 won the match the year I was in Germany.
It is more of a fun and hot-dog event. Although I think that 1st prize was something like $150 last year. And I only won by one point because I goofed and put an extra shot into the wrong target. So I lost 10 points.

I always shoot fast and from the magazine, ( using stripper clips and full power loads) because I get more shaky the longer I wait.
However there seems to be a HUGE time limit for the ten rounds. A bunch of the guys single load. In fact the K-31 guy was using cast lead reduced loads.

Most folks show up early and sight in their rifles just before the match starts. Since it is only 100 yards we do not let folks stop shooting and look through spotting scopes.

Here are a couple old score sheets that list the rifles used. Except for those shooter who can't fill out the roster correctly.
