Default Investigators pretending to be RV renters

I just heard from someone in Anchorage that they were contacted via e-mail by someone claiming they wanted to rent their personal RV for a couple days.

Well.... It turns out this was a State investigator and there are State and possibly local taxes involved when renting your buddy's RV for a couple days. And of course they want money from last year as well. I do not yet have the links to these State fees.

I just thought I would pass it along.

Hope that's not their only strategy to close the budget gap!!

Part of that is due to Uber and another ride sharing service. It caused many rental car places to complain that they pay the taxes and carry commercial insurance and face competition. Actually if a buddy rents you a motorhome or car without commercial insurance and something happens, the insurance company can get out of liability,

The State and the muni of Los Anchorage can do more to you than your insurance company. They just fined one person nearly $1000 in back taxes and penalties.

There have been some obscure state investigators on the payroll for years. Now they are jumping through hoops to justify their positions.

Ten minutes ago ( Saturday ) I had a phone call from a blocked number, from someone claiming to be the Alaska Health dept. He was asking if I was running my business out of my home about they time I hung up. Since when would a real Health Dept person be working on Saturday.

Just claim the Al Sharpton deduction and you can go for years and owe millions and never go to jail for back taxes. You can also have a couple of fires that burn up financial records and still be invited to the White House. Good grief, don't they have better things to do with their time then worry about some one making a few bucks off of something?
