    Default Ketchikan FS Roads

Moving to KTN for the summer, maybe longer. Wondering about FS roads. I read a bunch were getting closed down, but what is open to non-motorized traffic?

    Thanks.

There are very few miles of USFS roads connected to the Ketchikan roads system. Some forest roads are Native corp roads and are no-trespass.

However there is a 3 hour ferry ride (expensive) that gets you to Prince of Wales Island that offers many many miles of USFS roads even with all the road closure action.

Great info, thanks. Yeah, I already ordered all the MVUM, etc for POW. Plan on spending time over there in our truck camper.

    Thanks again.
