Default What size assist hooks should i use

I have some 16oz Crippled Herring jigs as well as some 14oz Braid hammer jigs and I am going to rig them up with assist hooks. What size hooks should I use? I was thinking 8/0-10/0 for Halibut. What do you use and what would you recommend? Thanks for your help!

If you are going to rig them for Halibut all you need to worry about is if they are strong enough. For halibut the action will not change that much between 8/0 and 10/0.

8/0 or 10/0 should work fine.
I pimarily use American made Eagle Claw hooks.
I like to use hooks with a straight eyes and shanks.
I also use either 200# or 300# Kevlar thread to tie them with.
As well as a quality split ring and solid ring.

Agree...8/0 or 10/0 would do it.
