Default DC608 Killey River Caribou, new permits allocated

If you put in for DC608 and did not get chosen this draw season recheck your email. New permits were allocated according to an email I just received.

That they did. Excited to take a look back behind the Skilak mountains. Hoping to find a caribou half as nice as the one you got in the Kenai mtns 4mer

Excellent.....Congrats...!!! That bull however was killed from 001.

How many extra permits did they give out.....did they say?

I did put in for a 608 this year too, but I've never received an email even for the permits that I have drawn. Don't know why. I went to the F&G website to see weather or not it may have shown if they gave me one where it shows my draw results, but didn't see any change.

Are you planning to fly in? Let me know how you plan to access them......shoot me a pm if you may want another couple ideas.....

Replied to your pm, but it says you have to clear some messages first....

My e-mail from ADF&G ended up in my spam folder for some reason. Heard this happened to other folks as well.

As far as I know I don't have a spam filter as I still get some crap.....not a lot like other people but enough.

Fly into iceberg Lake or twin lakes seen some bou last time I was in there. One decent bull right at iceberg Lake and came across sheds from some nice bulls in there too but I didn't have a tag.
Good luck it's beautiful up there

Got the same email in my spam box. Wonder how many more they issued? Not sure if my son or I got drawn as I used the same email for both of us and the email was addressed to Hunter.

I am curious as to how many new tags have been issued as well. I believe it was only 25 to begin with and it says a maximum of 40....

Where did you read that? My supplement says 608 gives out 70 permits.......did it change somewhere along the line?

That's weird. Either way I guess they must be needing to thin them out this year... Here is what I read..

That is weird. It would still be nice to know how many extras they decided to give out.......

Yep. Go figure I draw out a good hunt that could be considered once in a lifetime and they open up the floodgates on it.

Don't get your hopes up. Someone probably hacked the server. Never heard of extra tags announced on a weekend.
