Don't think many head out until the shrimp opener.

I'm sure there are some butts around to catch, but not many people venture out this time of year. I have a couple times to just get away when the weather is good during a long winter. Sure is nice and peaceful out there in the winter time.

While not PWS, I have one lila fella, maybe he has a friend with him, I catch him EVERYDAY I pass one particular spot on the beach trolling for kings. He might have to die here soon he keeps tormenting me

Normally this time of year when hitting the shallow kelp beds I can pull at least one 20-40lber a day trolling kings. I wouldn't doubt you'd be able to do the same up there somewhere.
