Default Ruger discontinuing the all weather Hawkeyes

Found out this week that the all weather Hawkeyes have been discontinued for 2015. The all weather American will still be available. I really liked theses guns and always thought of them as darn near indestructible and a perfect gun for southeast Alaska

That sounds like a very strange decision for Ruger to make. Unless they have something else that is all weather in the works to introduce.

I think they are going to focus on the cheaper American and try to go for a more economical rifle for the masses. Pity they won't have a higher quality rifle to offer if the American was a first rifle purchase.

Ruger has been making a lot of new products, I wonder if they have something in the works.
