Default Extra Russian River campsite for 1st week?

Not to shamelessly beg, but.... We missed out on reserving a site for the opener or any other time during the first week of fishing on the Russian. It's become an annual trip for our family, so we sure would like to be there if at all possible. We always have other ideas, but if anyone has a spot that they're not likely to use, please let me know. Thanks!

Try Quartz creek campground. That is a good back up since it's so close.

Yep, we've stayed there before and it's nice enough, but with 5 children in tow between two families, it certainly is easier to not have to pack everyone up when we're ready to go fishing. And call me picky, but when we stayed at Quartz a couple years back they required the tents to be pitched on the paved parking pads - not my preference. We'll be down that way one way or another, but still hoping to score a site at the Russian itself if it works out. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

Grab the raft Brian. Lots of kid friendly beaches below the confluence, and far better camping on a gravel bar than with the masses of asses back in the campgrounds.

Bump to the top. Does anyone perhaps have a site that they won't be using?

Man, I love this community! A very generous offer came through, and it looks like we've got a site secured. Thank you!!

Same as Brian, im not begging but seeing if anyone has a June 18th camp site that they won't be using. I have a few friends coming up before my wedding and would like to show them some bears and catch a few fish.

    Thanks in advance.
