    Default Unit 14A sheep

A buddy drew a 14A sheep tag this year and I thought maybe someone here could help with a couple of questions. Does anyone have a recommendation on a transporter to access the area? I'm also looking for some info on the area from others who have hunted it. What should we expect to see as far as population? Being that we are in SE, it is hard to make any scouting trips to explore the area so any help you can offer would much appreciated.

14A is broken up into three draws areas: Metal, Friday, and Carpenter creeks. All have different ways to hunt.
Easiest way to figure out access is to search out a thread from last summer for Metal creek. Lots of details in those threads.

Cole Hawkins (Hawk Air) He's Based out of Birchwood, (has a cub and a Maule) From talking to him, He knows the area, and as a sheephunter himself nice guy to talk to...I would say Meekins, but He's probably so swamped right now with booked flights you'd probably have to work around his schedule, there's others , Gary Bishop, Weideker, etc.

AK Ray, thanks for the tip. I'll search out other threads on metal creek. Kahahawai, thanks this gives me a starting point for air transports. I kind of new to this research thing and it's not as easy alone might think it should be with the Internet and all. Thank you for the responses.

If your buddy has the early season tag, Meekins is already booked the 7th and 8th of August. That was as of yesterday.

I'll give a second recommendation for Mike Meekins. Nice guy and heck of a good pilot.
