    Default 2015 DC-590, Unit 14B

I was drawn for the DC-590 hunt this for the 2015 season. Two things, I ant to ask about. First, did anyone else get drawn that may want to partner up. The second and more important question is, that I know I can reach good areas by plane out of Talkeetna, but has anyone ever found a route in that I could make in an Arctic Cat Prowler, even if it were to take some additional foot work?

I had that tag last year and had to hike in 19 miles along the Montana creek area to connect. You have an advantage I didn't so I'm sure if you do more research around that area you can find the route I'm talking about. Good luck to you, but if you can afford to fly it will do that as you could get in areas I couldn't.

This hunt is best done by plane. I've had it and been successful with a great bull. There are really nice bulls to be had in this area, but very few (if any) are accessible without an airplane. I'm sure you figured that when you put in for the hunt.

I used Alaska bush float plane service out of talkeetna. Had a great time, we were hiking at around 4000'+ so be prepared to put in some work. I connected on a nice double shovel so the potential i for a nice animal is there. Good luck

Jr's 2013. As others said, its a fly in permit, really. You can walk 20 miles and maybe see one but why not have fun instead.

Wow. After seeing those pictures, I would have a fly-out hunt booked. Nice bulls!
