Nice fish!! RE: the Super Bowl---at halftime, Pete Carroll asked Russell Wilson if he was ready to win his second Super Bowl. Russell said "No thanks, I'll pass, coach"

    Preview of weekend report.

Three kings and two chickens with the new set up. Released all but one chicken. Didn't lose a single fish. Hmmm.....

so Kard, what pound braid do you run on that new setup, and is it better to run braid or straight mono?

Gotta use braid to have any shot. Not because of strength, but line capacity. I used 20 pounds. I was amazed at the rod. Pefect balance of flex and backbone. the drag worked great as well. The only negative I found was when I got hung up or really wanted to pressure the fish, you can't calmp down on the spool or thumb it like you can on spinning or baitacasters. I bet drag was set for around 5 pounds and I never really was worried that I would break the rod.
