    Default Shrimp line

I'm building new shrimp line and I was wondering what you guys use for your floating line below the lead line. 1:4 or 3/8 poly? My last line that I lost was 160' of 3/8 poly with 5 tag lines off for my pots. Will 1/4" be good enough with Steves smaller limp line?

My float rope is 5/16" Rob, i think you wouldn't be happy with 1/4" not strong enough when you get hung.

    Rob,
B&Js has a pot puller display downstairs with some green double braid, I don't remember the size but it's the same stuff I use. It's at least 3/8 maybe 7/16. They have a small reel left.

My setups have one full length of Potbuilders Osprey line (600') and 200' of the floating green double braid. I usually set one pot per line but it's really easy to put one of Potbuilders toggles in the middle of the floating line and hang another pot. Two pots max out my little puller though.

1/4" is too small. I wouldn't use anything less than 3/8" myself.
