Some people just wanna burn the world... great commentary about how to ignore those few people in our own community of sport fishing that choose to bash, hate, find fault, and pot stir under the secrecy of a screen name.

Some great advice and a good read

That is refreshing coming from a fly fisherman. I have met a lot of great people while fishing, in the fishing sections at sporting goods stores, fishing related meetings, etc.. Fly fisherman, however, seem to be the one group that often tend to look down their nose at anglers using bait or harvesting fish.

I hope Montana Mat's attitude is a trend among fly anglers.

Good blog entry and thanks for sharing. Let me just say that part of being a fisherman is paying it forward and helping others become better fisherman. This means that we need to speak up at times to educate less experienced or ill advised anglers to improve their techniques and/or to keep them from breaking the law. Some folks can't handle constructive criticism and it can be difficult to offer it diplomatically. Continue to do what makes you happy, but be respectful of the resource and follow the rules. Cheers.
