    That's awesome. Those little fish look like blackfish. I had no idea there were blackfish on the hayflats. I've heard that in the villages, people catch by them in nets by air holes and then they eat them. Was that rabbit slough?

    There's blackfish throughout the flats, during late duck season breaking ice with the boat I've seen them washing up on the ice. Had to stop the first time I saw it. They just wiggle their way back into the open water. It is pretty amazing. Never prepared them myself to eat but have had them given to me by folks in rural Alaska. Not my first choice of table fare.... Really cool video
