    Default kenai Peninsula Forum gathering?

Just wanted to get some Ideas together for a location and a time for us Peninsula forum members to have a forum gathering like the guys do in the Anchorage/valley area.
Maybe if we can get some ideas going for a place to go and some general timeframe ideas we can actually make this happen.
    So post up your ideas!

Yeah, we are going to double your membership fee for all the additions and upgrades, but you are not allowed to use them. Kind of funny, but not really

I could talk to Bob he's a friend of mine.
Problem there is you would need to have a snowshoe membership to get in.
What about the back room at Paradisos?

Not to hijack too much but you don't have access to the additional pistol ranges?
You will have access to the additional 500yds they are adding to the rifle range correct?
The one they have to buy 75 acres from the borough to build.
What about the new 100 yard range their building its not going to be locked.
The clubhouse is the only thing not open all the time.
And it still beats paying $20 every time and having to abide by the full time range masters like the guys In Anchorage do.
I like it and still feel its a good deal for me and my family.
Ok back to the forum gathering......

Chris, I'm kinda new to the forum but would like to come. I think Paradisos would be a good place, how many people you think will show up?

I'm with you guys!! Huge increase in price and I didn't see any benefit when I shot there as a guest this summer. (Yes, I let my membership go because of the price gouging!) Birchwood used to do a much better job for lots less money when I lived up that direction.

Back to this thread. I would love to get together. My schedule is irregular so just schedule it and i will try to make it. Back of Parodiso's is Ok. I think Froso's and Michaels has some space too.

Sounds good to me and will be there if the time is available. Just a thought but maybe a Sat afternoon would be good for some of us that have to drive several miles.

I'd like to come, if my work schedule doesn't interfere with it. Perhaps AGL4now could make it from Hope and entertain us with some photos and stories from days gone by. That would be great.

I would be interested in attending. I bet we could make the snow shoe gun club work but as mentioned, there are may other venues on the peninsula

I think Snowshoe is do-able. If you are the guest of a member you can use the range, so might also apply to the clubhouse too if they open it up.
As for Snowshoe being too expensive, well, I am no longer a member because of the cost, but I paid half my son's membership, so I still shoot there as his guest. The range nazis seem to no longer show up when I am there, and that is good. It still seems like a heck of a deal even w/o access to the clubhouse. I like to use the warm house to shoot from on the rifle range.
I will be out and about on weekends during daylight hours.

I don't want to steer this too far off topic, but I highly doubt all of the kids and women they bring in for shooting classes are members.

Clearly they are capable of making some exceptions, the question is, are any of us "in" enough to pull it off?

I talked to a gal at Paradisos in Kenai and we can use one of their back rooms for free if we order some food from there.
I think that is much easier than trying to get the gun club and keeping the gate open for non range members.
So I was thinking we could just order a few Pizzas from Paradisos and have the gathering there.
How does Saturday March 7th at Paradisos in Kenai sound to you guys?

Maybe. I have some other commitments that day, but it is very possible that I could be done by evening. No guarantee tho.
