Default Recommendations for Kodiak full service lodge?

Well, my mom surprised me - she has never wanted to go anywhere but Ketchikan in Alaska before. Now she wants to do a 4 or 5 day fishing trip to Kodiak island at a full service lodge during the first week of July. Did a cursory search online and came up with this place: http://www.kodiakadventureslodge.com

Anyone have particular recommendations? Would prefer private charters over open-party fishing if possible.

    Thanks!

I don't know that one real well. I do know that Birch at Raspberry Remote...http://raspberryisland.com/. Hes got a great reputation.

Also Jeff Peterson, he's an active forum member here, runs Kodiak Combos. While I've chatted with Jeff many times I haven't met him, but he's got a real good gig going down there in Old Harbor, and where they are, weather isn't much of a concern there. www.kodiakcombos.com

I have worked for Birch at Raspberry and you wont find a better lodge to visit. Excellent accommodations and some of the nicest people you would want to fish with.

I authored a testimonial for Raspberry on their website. I concur with the comments suggesting this selection for your visit. The food is Alaskan authentic and the guided service by Birch is top of the line. The facility is outstanding in every aspect of visitor comfort. The location is enthralling.

Kinda hard to argue with a unanimous vote! Emailed Birch & Tiffany, they didn't have the exact dates we wanted, but whats available is close enough - last days of June & first couple days of July ought to have a few good kings there, right?
