    Default Need STC Copy!

I could use a copy of the Bush STOL Conversion STC number SA2854SW. Applicable to the Cessna 180H. I have not found it on The Web and have a request into the responsible ACO office in Wichita, but thought I would ask here. Please PM with any info. Thanks.

Good Luck with that..... In the past I tried dealing with the family of the original STC holder and never made any headway.

You might want to try the Cessna Pilots Association.

Yes, thanks. Seems that Mr. And Mrs. Williams have quite a reputation. If the ACO comes up with a copy off of their micro-fiche I will be giving it wide dissemination.

So I take it your plane has it installed and not correctly logged? Verifying the install should be simple. What are your options to get around the STC holder permission requirement? Does the ACO have a solution for that should the owners be unavailable or unwilling?

The logs were lost in a fire so I am gathering the necessary paperwork. The Bush conversion was done, 337 in place, then the Sportsman leading edge was installed, 337 in place. I really don't think that not having the STC will be a show stopper, given the history of the company. It is my adult onset OCD keeping me in the hunt.

I now have a copy of the STC, sans the drawing. Will stop by and see Dave while in Fairbanks next week.
