Default Buy your 2015 H&F license

The 'Gamies" as one of my old friends used to call them, love to write tickets to folks who forget to get the new license and then go out ice fishing, or hunting. Don't be one of those fellas.

Have not bought a hunting/fishing license in several years! That is one of the benefits of being over 60 in Alaska!

The PFD application needs to have a check-off box for HFT licenses so they would arrive in the mail before year end.

I get mine in the mail in November, as I always buy it when I put in for drawing permits.

Disabled - have to be a resident.

means you need to be in Alaska 1 year before you apply for license.

same with my Old foggie license- had to be a resident to apply.

    funny story-

went Ice fishing on the 3rd...
was checked by a Park Ranger (real nice lady named Melisa)
    there was four of us...
we all had different types of licenses.. LOL
from Old Foggie, low income, resident, to Non-resident annual.

she had to write in a new page in her "book" fer us.

Another tip: laminate that license if you can. if not zip-lock bag it!

yes, and our token non-resident lost a VERY large fish...

estimating 4 to 6 pounder.. he got head up in hole then got excited and let it slid back beneath the ice....

never got it in the hole again!

the next bite he had was a Rainbow of about 26" that was noticble smaller than what he had lost.

all in all for a short day trip:

    5 fish kept-
    2 landlocked King salmon
    2 Landlocked Silver Salmon
    and one really nice rainbow!

    Chris

PS I'm taking a gaff with me next week!!!!!!

That is a great idea. I also wish you could buy 1 or 5 year or life time HFT !
