    Default Alaska Sales Questionnaire

    Hello,

I recently purchased land in Alaska and I received a sales questionnaire from the borough where my land is located. I'm wondering what the advantage is of actually filling this thing out. I understand that it would help if the assessed value is too high, but that's not really the case here.

    Thanks.

    Let me guess, KPB?

It will help them raise the taxes if your assessment is too low also.

I threw my last one in the trash. The taxes went up anyway, and they were pretty close in the actual valuation too. Maybe they sent one to the seller also, I don't know.

Round file it. They don't require you to fill it out.

Those are sent out so they can raise your assessment value if you paid more then the assessment value I'm thinking.
