    Default Eagle Peak

Has anyone been up Eagle Peak this year yet? If so, i was wondering what the conditions were up that way.

Looks to be pretty covered in snow to me. I've been thinking about heading back up Eagle this year, but from the back side (Symphony Lake). The first time I did it we crossed Eagle River at Echo Bend, bushwhacked for a few thousand feet, then took the SE ridge (the more difficult one - towards the head of ER valley) to the top. Made for an 18 hour day, all in all. I'd like to go camp at Symphony Lake and take a more leisurely pace up it sometime this summer, but I figure I'll give it a few weeks. Let us know if you head up how the conditions are.

Hey Brian, I thought you advised to only cross the Eagle River at the designated crossing.

Yep, I did, Erick. In this instance we carried a raft in the 3 miles to Echo Bend and floated across.
