Sportsman's warehouse in Anch has the Remington collaboration model for a mere $5000. I saw it there on Sunday. Here's a link to the same model at Cabela's.

Don't really want one seems like it might take the fun out of shooting but sure do wish I could afford one.

I'm just not feeling all warm and fuzzy about shelling out 5k for what I believe to be a novelty Item. Comparing everything I've see from range finding scopes to ballistic computers.....Theres nothing I've seen on the market as of yet that leads me to believe we are even close to developing somthing like that..thats actually worth looking at. At least not in the Civy sector. I'll wait for a few more folks to shell out their hard earned $$$$.. We will see what kind of a reputation it has in 5 Years.

Well one thing for certain is that the costs have dropped over time. A product that was out 4 or 5 years ago had a $15K price tag.

I get bored repeatedly hitting stuff with my .22, I don't need to spend thousands to replicate that same feeling

Truly the gift for someone who has everything. But if you were doing serious eradication like hogs in Florida, AND had seriously deep pockets....

I bet it would bet cheaper to hire someone to take a hard shot for you. No Thanks.

If a person's capable of sighting the target and pressing the button to paint the target with the laser in the first place, he should be capable of having made the shot right at that moment. This thing is just a gimmick.

Here is the latest from Tippie the Talking Dawg.

In a few years it will be determined that this sighting system is more humane, resulting in fewer wounded animals.

THEN it will be REQUIRED on ALL hunting rifles, first in CA and then the rest of the country, state by state.

    Camouflage colors will cost more.

We can expect shorter hunting seasons due to greater hunter success.

Hunting will become more of a Rich Man's Sport.

More later, IF he tells me.

Its just another attempt to buy skills. If you cant do it then buy a gizmo that will.

I kinda see your point but don't necessarily agree. I doubt too many of us still throw a spear or use a longbow with cedar shafts for that matter. This unit no doubt will provoke some thought on both sides of the issue, but perhaps the outcome will yield something very useful.
