Default SE Sea Duck Hunt Video

The weather was cold and clear so some friends and I decided to target sea ducks. I caught a little bit of the action on camera and put together this video.

We finished the day with a mixed bag of white wing, black and surf scooters, common and barrow's goldeneye, harlequin and a drake mallard.

haha! I'd be up there in a heartbeat if the AF would let me. I'm trying out Rhode Island this year. Gonna go after some atlantic brant and common eiders. Hopefully I can finally get that black duck too.

Thanks for sharing the videos. How do you keep your dog from tearing up his feet?

Thanks for watching! It's my buddies dog, and I don't have a way to protect my (or his) dogs feet. I try to limit how much my dog walks around on the rocks. Make him sit and stay and not run around like an idiot. I also try to help him pick the better line into the water so he's not needlessly trying to climb up or down steep spots.

Loved the vid! Come over to sitka sometime, we have quite a few birds this year( mostly skunk heads) but still been lots of action. Beautiful day in the video!

Thanks! I'd love to make it over for a hunt in Sitka some day.

Where are you going to hunt? Lots of brant and black ducks up my way on the upper bay. Good luck, especially on the blacks. The most paranoid duck anywhere after they've been shot at once.
