Default Where to buy a clam shovel?

Going clamming down at Clam Gulch tomorrow. Where can I get a cheap generic clam shovel? All I need is some waders, a clam shovel, and a bucket right?

I saw some at Fred Meyer today. $22.00. If you haven't done it before just watch others for a minute and you'll see that you just need to make sure you stay seaward of the airhole. Have fun.

If its a real low tide and you find yourself in a good spot you can roll down your hippers and toss the shovel A sneak attack, a pinch of the neck and a slow pull can be a hoot. If the moon is right and everything is in your favor you can fill a bucket quicker than 2 with shovels but then again that was years ago. Good Luck.

you can get them with your hands just as fast or faster then with a shovel and you won't break any of them, but it is messy and you will get wet.

    Default Ricks

I got two NEW ones for $10 at Ricks secondhand. He had some used one in the bucket last time I was there for $7 or something. Ricks in on Spur highway towards Kenai about 5 mins or so.
