Default 40 Herd, Where are the Bou?

Winter season opens Dec. 1. 2 day season along the Steese Hiway. Must be some bou up there if they already set the season there to close Dec 2!
I'm thinking ADF&G could make a contribution to lessening us hunters carbon footprint and give us better intel on where the critters are. Wonder how many GPS collars are in that herd?

    Check the hotline!

No hunting on Taylor as those are Nelchina caribou.

    Two day open on Steese.

Much of the herd is in YT.

Darn. I was sort of counting on the Taylor Hwy hunt. Oh well. Maybe next year.

    Default inre: Taylor Hwy Closure

The Taylor will be closed south of the Mile 112.6 Fortymile bridge, but open north of that.

The word on the street, Chena Hot Springs street that is, is that trails are still rough and no sign of bou. Hopefully the hunt will stay open for a month or more off the CHS road!!
