    Default SxS Tracks

I found a set of nice used tracks for my Prowler I couldn't pass up. Will post pics as soon as I get them mounted and update as soon as we get snow to use them on!

Which Prowler do you have? We have a 2013 700 HDX and it will be interesting to see how your's does. Keep us posted!

Do some research on clutching with tracks. ERP has a lot of R&D complete and can help ya if ya need.

But is that kit designed for tracks? There is a difference. And I typo'd. EPI was what I meant. Give them a call and talk with the tech department. Had a buddy that put tracks on his ranger and he had fits getting the clutching right. EPI kept sending him different combos of springs and weights till they found a good match.

Made it out today and put on about 15-20 miles. Goes good and rides nice, only about 10" of snow though.

cool! I have looked into them but the old rhino just doesn't have the juice to move all that track. Are these strictly for winter or will they also be used in the mud/swamps?

I am mainly going to use them in the winter. They are a four season track but using them in the summer is harder on them. Your rhino should turn them no problem. They are setup about a 2:1 ratio compared to tires. I have to run in high gear or else it is too slow in low.

Can I borrow that picture of the carseat base and let my wife see it? She needs to be convinced that we can take the little one with us!

Hughiam, that's why we sold the sleds and bought the Prowler! Our little man goes with us every time, plug in the 12volt heated blanket and he's sleeping in no time.

Are both of the prowlers in the pic on tracks?
I have been debating tracks for quite awhile now first on the ATV and now on the SxS. I just haven't seen or heard of many using them here in AK. Glad to hear someone is giving them a go. Earlier in November I think they would have been perfect since conditions were tween sled and wheeler. If you and or others have more info / reports of experience with tracks I would love to hear it...I think I am sold, but would like confirmation, and just need to save the $$$$
    Thanks for sharing

We only have tracks on the red one. This was my first trip on tracks so I will keep this thread updated with how they do. Need more snow to test them that's for sure. They aren't for someone who's looking to go fast. I'm guessing I could cruise at 25-30. So far I like them a lot. I will be using it to haul lumber and groom also this winter.

Hauled in a small 650-700lb load today, tracks are working great. Surprised how well it did going up a short steep hill without any speed.

    Default Sxs tracks

How a bout this unit, sold by North Star Specialty Vehicals build on a 2007 Polaris Ranger 4x4, the only problem they have had is the deep snow blocks the rad and they have to get out and clean out the rad. ( over heats) It runs on 14" wide tracks with a chevron design track. It is used for checking oil pipe lines in ALBERTA, CAN.
