    Default Morning walk

    Nice morning walk, first time this year she has gotten to get out. No birds but couple nice hares, she was still excited to get out.

    Had one run in front of the car in downtown Kenai a month or so back........
    Sheep hunting...... the pain goes away, but the stupidity remains...!!!

    Wow crazy! I had an ermine run across the highway in front of me last wee in anchor point, first time I've ever seen that!

    Now if I could only see those couple Lynx I've had run across the road in front of me again........ oh and have a gun in the rig at the time too..........lol

    These were Ft. Richardson, saw 2 others but they had the speed and size for running through what I would head bangers. Out for a couple hrs.

    And an open season, of course. Isn't it completely closed down on the Peninsula this year? Have had lynx cross in front of my truck twice - once in my driveway in July, and once up by Delta in October. Pretty cool to see.

    Couple weeks ago the troopers had their remote head-moving lynx decoy out by the road on Olson man. Friend of mine pulled over to look at this "lynx" because it just looked wrong.... after a couple minutes a trooper crawled out of the brush and asked him to move on. Funnier still, I saw in the police report that they actually nailed some guy who pulled over and shot it!!

    Yes it is, ironically I've heard of quite a few spotted this fall, I wonder if it's because they are hard up for food?

    It is ironic because they seem to be everywhere down here. And with the dearth of small game, they will be starving anyway.
