    Default Favorite Bait/Lure for Pike

What are your favorite baits/lures/methods for hardwater pike? I'm always up for trying new things. This year I want to try spearing for the first time. I've had good success in the past using herring either halved or whole. What do you use?

Krocodiles and Thomas buoyants with the occasional storm swimbait thrown in. Mostly blue/silver or green frog patterns for the spoons and I like the chartreuse and glow for the swimbaits.

Bait: Whole dead bait on a quick strike rig.

Lures: Northland Airplane jigs in the 1oz size tipped with a piece of cisco or herring.
All colours are good but my favorite is chartreuse.
