    Default who we are

Some of the comments in the thread about sitting on the animal for photos reminded me of a statement I once heard regarding hunting. It basically said that some people are pro hunting, some anti hunting, but the large majority of the population is undecided - their opinions toward hunting with be influenced by your actions.

Whether your posting photos or describing a hunt to another person, think of the impact it may have on someones opinion about hunting. Think about the perception you want them to have of who we are and why we do what we do - it may have an impact on legislation someday. I think this 7 minute video does a decent job portraying a pro hunting message.

It is a good video, and his points are well made, but a lot of people will just look at that and see a rich guy hunting. Quite a bit different than a man who hunts because it is the only we he can feed his family.

Probably for a handful. But that guy is a Canadian; way more subsistence folks up in northern Canada.
