    Default 2014 Moose

Decided to pick up the moose hunting again this year after a hiatus due to various reasons and doing other kinds of hunts.

My 14 year old and I drew the DM 802 tags this year. This area has a easy draw rate but low success rate from what I could find. I had hunted it before they went to permits so I figured I'd take him where we had taken bulls before. Not a lot of moose were seen but we scored and he got his first bull. 63" to boot.

He took it with the 375 Ultramag with one shot at 125 yards. I called the bull in from a little over a half a mile away and I must say it felt good to be back out there watching these monsters coming to the call.

Awesome bull and horns! Great job getting your son such a great shot and great shooting job by him. He never will forget that. What are you going to do with the mounting possibilities?

    Wow nice bull!!!!!!!!!

If you don't remember 375ultramag he's one of the few moose hunters that really knows how to hunt, as this bull proved.
