Default trappers, do you want meat/fleshing scraps?

If any trappers are interested in fleshing scraps from bears, moose, etc. please pm or call me. Having been a trapper I always think about how nice all the salty meat and fat trimmings would be for trapping. I just took near 60 lb flesh/fat off a brown bear and it is not to the dump yet and another 40 off a black bear....

Bring a 5 gallon bucket/lid with your name and number and I will call you when it's full.

Sure did!! It's the only animal I've seen feed on both grizzly and black bear carcasses.

The scraps I had from that post have long since been taken to the dump. I do have a grizzly bear coming to the shop today...not sure how much fat was left on it but will likely have it fleshed by tonight (if it isn't frozen)...glad to save the fleshing scraps for anyone wanting to use them for trapping.

Wish I had a way to get them up to the lodge. Just too busy and the snow is on the way someday soon. I'm hoping to get a bear myself this fall, as there are tracks all over up here now in the snow, so maybe I'll bring you a hide soon and grab the scraps!
