Thread: Bait on Parks Highway streams?

Default Bait on Parks Highway streams?

I always have a hell of a time deciphering the regs for parks streams. I know Little Su is now open to bait, but what about Montana, Willow, Sunshine...etc?

Page 25 of the regs says bait is open July 14-August 31, and Im not seeing any exceptions that state otherwise, specifically for Montana. Just doing my best to abide by the complicated rules and avoid a fat ticket. Thanks for any help!

Generally that is the rule, although not for all streams. Check the regs for each stream you plan to fish.

Definitely! ALWAYS check regs for exceptions and also make a quick check for EOs.

I was under the impression you could only use bait at the mouth to a little ways upstream (parks streams).

As mentioned read the regs. With that said, currently bait is allowed up to the highway bridge at Montana, Sheep, Caswell, Goose, Rabideux and little Willow. Not so with Willow. You must be below the ADF&G marker, which is 1/2 mile upstream from the mouth.
Your bait stinks and your boat is ugly
