    Default september in seward?

how is fishing in september out of seward? Interested in rockfish, halibut and lingcod, I could care less about the salmon, we will catch plenty on the kenai. My dad is coming up on the 7-14th and I would like to take him on a saltwater charter. I have a friend who runs charters there but they stop doing them on labor day. Anyone suggest a charter who may still be running trips?

Weather is a big factor in September. That being said this August is starting off a lot like September does, wind and high seas.

You will have no problem finding a seat on a charter, tourism really slows down that time of year.

The species you are looking for can still be found. Try the Pro-Fish and Crackerjack office, they have several boats and one of them should be running if the weather is good.
