Default kids fishing at Fish Creek High or low tide

Any suggestions on whether to be there at low or high tide? I walked down there tonight at low tide and saw some fish, but the mud was really deep and we have younger kids. As this weekend is the kids only weekend, were wondering if we should go early at low tide or hit high tide at noon.

Dont really care if we catch anything, just want to take the kids out and not have to winch them out of the mud.

It shouldn't matter. Most people fish upstream of the bridge anyways. You'll see when you get there.
