    Default Recommended Kayak for Kenai

Can somebody give me some input concerning a good kayak for floating the Kenai River including the canyon and Naptowne? I am thinking about buying a kayak and am having hard time deciding. Mainly used for day floats but fishability and hauling camping gear would be great also.

    Thanks

Self bailing inflatable kayaks are great for that, they are super user friendly, haul a lot of gear, they are easy to learn self rescue with too. Aire Lynx is a good boat for what you want to do, NRS makes good ones also like a Bandit which is fairly light. They can handle moderate big water, and are excellent on small streams too.

Does anybody have any experience with Old Town Vapor type kayaks? Are they any good in whitewater? How about the Native Kayaks?

    Thanks
